Nottingham Music Society

Concerts at the Congregational Hall, Castle Gate, Nottingham NG1 7AS
7.30 pm on Tuesdays

All Welcome

Formed in 1922, the society promotes concerts of live chamber music given by nationally and internationally known artists each winter season. A strength has been the engagement of young virtuosos early in their careers, before international success places them beyond our reach. Previous performers include Benjamin Britten, Peter Pears, the Amadeus Quartet, Julian Bream, Murray Perahia, Tasmin Little, the Lindsays, and Nikolai Demidenko. The Past Concerts page demonstrates the range and quality of the performers who have recently visited us.

Concerts are held at Castle Gate Congregational Centre, a Victorian hall with clear acoustics. The society owns a Steinway grand piano which is kept there permanently.

Membership subscriptions for the season are available and guests are welcome at any concert. Tickets are always available for purchase at the door. Car parking, well lit, is within easy reach on Fletcher Gate or St James Street, as well as other car parks within a few minutes walk.

We are a member of "Making Music", The National Federation of Music Societies.
